Hi, have had my DS3 D STYLE 1.6 HDI for 12 months now. I've had the bulge to my passenger door sill repaired but have recently had a problem with the bonnet catch mechanism. The bonnet was difficult to closed and on 4 seperate occasions the bonnet lid as worked loose. On 3 occasions the safety catch as stopped the lid from flying up in fromt of the windscreen. However on one occasion, a very windy day on the M62 passing the saddleworth junction towards the south the bonnet worked loose and then flew up. This totally blocked my view and i have to pull over onto teh hard shoulder which is the 1st time i have ever used a hard shoulder in over 19 years of motoring. Thankfully the motorway was unually quiet and this enabled me to slow down and mover over to the hard shoulder.
I have had the mechanism checked by Citroen Sale and their technicians have adjusted the mechanism. To date this as sorted out the issue. Hvaing done some research this would appear to be a common issue with the DS3 especially the early models.
One to be aware of and to get sorted asap as i had a lucky escape!!!
