I bought a new ds3 dsport 150bhp in October 2010 - ALMOST THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER BOUGHT ! The only car I ever had that was worse was a Chrysler 180 back in the early 70s.

The chrome door strips started to bubble after a couple of months and had to be replaced.

At 4000 miles, the low oil warning came on, so I topped it up 1 liter; drove a couple of miles still low oil warning; added another liter still warning and only after a third liter did the warning go away. I checked the oil capacity in the book and decided something was wrong. Citroen Hatfield drained and refilled it.

The engine management light has been permanently on since May. Citroen Hatfield fixed it and it came on again. Seems I drive too much in town (stop-start) and too much on the motorway (steady speed). Mechanic said I should leave ticking over for 10 minutes every morning when I set off and another 10 minutes when I reach my destination. The expression NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE come to mind! The turbo cuts out at 4200 revs. and the car will labour on to its top speed of 90 mph, which it achieves in about 30 secs.

Citroen Hatfield tell me that they have the part on order since June. They don't return my calls or speak to me on the phone.

I guess they wouldn't give me much in PX for the car either - after all who wants a 150bhp car which has a top speed of 90 mph?

The car does looks great - bright red / black roof / black dash / black leather / black wheels but I could have saved £5000 plus and got the entry level model with extras and it would have performed better!

Anyone have a solution
