Can you say if the edge of the alloy footrest protrudes out beyond the edge of the carpet beneath it? |

Just checked it out its flush apart from the top right hand corner where it protrudes slightly, but you can only see this is you run your hands underneath it

I bought my wife an ex demo D-style diesel and was surprised to find out there was no footrest.
The dealer said they don't come as standard but they would fit one for £48. But not realising it was just carpet there I decided not to, spent enough already and was a bit anoyed but as it was ex-demo I couldn't really argue, considering I had already got them to put the chrome around the fog lights, front grille and rear bumper which was shown in the brouchure but wasn't on the car. Since having the car for a month with the snow the carpet had become very dirty so I looked into having one fitted. In the end I bought one from Ebay from a Citroen dealer in Scotland for £30 and fitted it myself. Very simple job you just need a star head screw driver, the instructions state you need to drill pilot holes first but I found the screws bit better just screwing them in. The foot rest will fit fine with a bit of care, the foot rest tapers slightly at the top in the car so the foot plate does ever so slightly ( millimeters) sticks out but with some care in placment you would never know. Simplest job I have ever done on a car, but to be honest even at £30 it's a lot of money for a part that must have cost all of £5 to make. |

Hi,
As a dealer who supplies DS3 all over the country this does not seem right. I have DS3's ordered early March that are due into build now, and will be handed over mid April! There has been no factory delay so when I see this it sounds alarm bells! Ask the dealer to contact CUK with the order number to check progress. If they made an error on the initial order and have re-ordered then even a fresh order today would result in delivery late April or early May. Hope this helps. Steve. |
